Today's "Student in the Workforce" is Waylon Crouch, from Ritchie County High School. Waylon works four afternoons a week at a paid internship for Jay-Bee Oil & Gas in Pennsboro. Students in Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and drafting courses are gaining valuable hands-on experience this week!
Drafting students are working cutting out wood for a designed model house while PLTW students are designing shoes!
Parker Maston (SM), passed his welding certification test in SMAW E6010 Root Pass, E7018 Fill&Cap. Congratulations!
Law & Public Safety students got training on their new breaching door. Members of the Parkersburg PD SWAT team; Lieutenant Eichhorn, Agent Sanchez, and Patrolman First Class Reifsteck, volunteered their time to teach students the fundamentals of breaching. The door was built by the MOVTI Welding program and is available to be used for training by area first responders.
Today's student in the workforce is Ritchie County senior, Ada Chen! She is working as a graphic design intern for the Ritchie County Economic Development Authority. So far, she has designed new logos, business cards and brochures for several Ritchie County organizations!

Graphic design students, Annie Roberts (TC) and Noah Hubbard (SM) passed their Adobe Certified Professional exam in Visual Design using Adobe Photoshop! Congratulations!
We would like to congratulate the following students from the Diesel program for passing their ASE test on Medium and Heavy Truck Diesel Engines. The test measures their knowledge, skills and ability to diagnose, service and repair different systems of Class 4 through Class 8 trucks and tractors.

Last week, Mrs. Redin's GYO Future Educators attended the Educators Rising State Leadership Conference in Cannan Valley, WV. Five future educators from MOVTI participated in competitive events and had the opportunity to network with nearly 200 other pre-service teachers.
