We would like to take moment to recognize our students who are involved in extracurricular activities for the winter season. Being a part of a team or club help students to develop important skills such as time management, teamwork, leadership, and communication. These skills are not only beneficial for academic success but also for personal and professional growth. Keep up the good work!

Ritchie County High School and MOVTI alum, Kaleb Cole, presented to students and faculty today. Kaleb is a 2021 RCHS graduate and MOVTI Computer Repair/Coding, App, and Game Design completer. He's currently enrolled at WVU Tech where he is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with an emphasis in Cybersecurity and minors in Mathematics and Entrepreneurship. He spoke about the many benefits that MOVTI has to offer students! Stay tuned for his full alumni spotlight video!



The MOVTI would like to thank Michael CIlles from Bi-Con Services for spending time with our morning and afternoon welding students. Students were able to test and certify in ASME Section IX which is a standard developed to ensure that welding and brazing procedures are carried out safely and consistently. This is wonderful experience for students and looks great in their portfolios!

Tyler County middle school students been creating snowflake ornaments on CAD. MOVTI students then cut them out using our laser engraver to make really neat ornaments. No snowflake is the same!


The following students assisted Mr. Collins with installing a new air compressor for the auto/diesel shop: Landon Sheets (MHS), Jadon Keller (TC), Core Moore (TC), Julian Loy (PC), Marshall Postlethwait (PC), James Sonju (RC)

6S alert! Mr. Becker's Carpentry class made a handcuff shadow board for the Law & Public Safety Program for key organization.


Special thanks to Casey Edwards from Galaxy Food Centers and Andy Leithead from Handy Andy's Home Improvement, for sharing your entrepreneurial experience with our entrepreneurship students. As part of the curriculum, students were required to interview an entrepreneur.



West Liberty University professors, Jared Thompson and Sarah Davis, visited with graphic design and multimedia students today. They gave an overview of program offerings and did a fun design thinking activity. We even had a special guest! Current WLU student and MOVTI alumni, Matty Lamp shared information about campus life. Thank you all for spending the day with us!
