Reminder of MOVTI Procedures when there is high water school cancellations:
When Pleasants County Schools are closed due to high water, MOVTI has the option to remain open if Rt. 2 and Rt. 16 are passable, as long as Ritchie, Tyler OR Wetzel County Schools are open.
County School Administration will be notified of open status early enough to allow for regular bussing to the MOVTI.

Pleasants County Emergency Manager, Steve Knight, recently conducted a training session for Law & Public Safety students on how to respond to a hazardous material incident as a first responder. During the session, the students were given exercises to work on, using the Emergency Response Guidebook to identify placards and other factors that help determine how to respond to such incidents.

Marissa Maston, from St. Marys High School, is our "student in the workforce" today! She is a therapeutic services student who is enrolled in the Veterinary Technician track so she is fulfilling her clinical hours at the Pleasants County! Humane Society.

Today's featured "Student in the Workforce" is Drake Duty, a junior from St. Marys High School. Drake has a lot going on outside of school - he owns his own media production company, volunteers for the Tyler County Search and Rescue, and is also a junior member of the St. Marys Volunteer Fire Department. And if that wasn't enough, he also just got his private pilot license!
