Our Automotive Technology students are gaining real-world experience by disassembling an engine. From identifying components to understanding how it all works together, they’re building the skills that drive their future careers.

🚗👻Our amazing sponsors, businesses volunteering to hand out candy and goodies at our trunk-or-treat, and donations at the gate keep this event going strong each year. 🎃🍬

📸 Here’s our Fall group pic of students in sports and extracurriculars! We love giving a shoutout to those who stay busy outside the classroom.
No matter which school they’re from, they all come together to show what teamwork and community are all about. We’re proud to have them representing MOVTI! 🌟

In career and technical education, learning goes beyond the classroom. Our students roll up their sleeves, dive in, and experience what real learning is all about by discovering how to solve problems, working side by side with others, and gaining the confidence that comes from doing the work. Every day, they’re not just preparing for graduation - they’re preparing for life!

Students in our new Manufacturing: Production and Design program were introduced to the new Skill Boss Manufacturing Training & Assessment system. This trainer offers performance-based assessment for evaluating the skill levels and competencies of future machine operators. Hands on learning at its best!

The 2025-2026 school year has officially begun, and we couldn't be more excited to welcome our students back to Mid-Ohio Valley Technical Institute! Here's to a year of hands-on learning, career exploration, and growth! Let's make it a great one!

Adult welding classes will be starting next month! See flyer for full details!

The Mid-Ohio Valley Technical Institute will have an ongoing roofing project throughout the summer months. As part of this projects, the sidewalks located between the flagpole and the culvert leading to SMHS will be removed and replaced.
Additionally, the five willow oak trees situated on the front lawn will be removed as part of the site improvement efforts.
Thank you for your patience and support while we make these important improvements. Please be careful and stay alert when walking near the area.

Congratulations to MOVTI and St. Marys High School graduates, Gunner Luzader and Brayden Heasley, on signing with the WV Laborers Training and Apprenticeship Program! These two are beginning an exciting journey with Local 1085, where they’ll receive training and hands-on experience through LiUNA’s respected program.
With competitive wages, great benefits, and a clear path to a successful career in the skilled trades, Brayden and Gunner are well on their way. The skills and experience they gained through Career & Technical Education at MOVTI have laid a strong foundation for this next step, and we’re excited to see where their hard work takes them! #thisisCTE

More PCT certifications to celebrate! Kaleigh Engel and Kendi Jackson passed their Patient Care Technician certification through the NHA. Congratulations!

Over the course of the semester, our Carpentry and Building Maintenance students built a custom 12' x 20' shed. Once it was complete, it was loaded onto our new shed trailer, delivered it to the customer’s home, and put perfectly in place with the Mule shed mover.
From start to finish, this was a full team effort and an awesome hands-on learning experience!

MOVTI’s new digital LED sign is up!
Installed this week with help from both students and instructors, the sign should be fully operational by the start of next school year and we can’t wait to see it in action.
Even better, it’ll showcase custom graphics created by our multimedia publishing and graphic design students. It’s a perfect example of what CTE is all about: hands-on learning, collaboration, and real-world experience.
