Our MOVTI ghosts and ghouls are busy getting ready for the big event next week! We have a very exciting evening planned so be sure to get dressed up and come see us! Tuesday, October 22. Gates open at 5:00!

MOVTI Law & Public Safety students, along with Mrs. Corrigan's SMHS Forensics students, had the opportunity to tour the Criminal Justice program at West Virginia University Parkersburg (WVU-P) and the National Guard base in Williamstown, WV. During the visit, they learned about various aspects of the criminal justice field, explored career paths, and gained firsthand insights into the training and operations at the National Guard.

Law & Public Safety students were invited by Prosecutor Brian Carr to visit the courthouse in St. Marys to see arraignments and learn court procedures. Judge Timothy Sweeney explained the roles of various courtroom staff.

Mrs. Leithead's multimedia publishing students carved pumpkins 🎃 to serve as photo props 📸 for their digital photography course. Each student planned their pumpkin designs before carving, then captured and edited photos of their creations! The pumpkins will now be used as decorations for our upcoming Tech or Treat on October 22!

Welding students Zoey Ferrell and Katie Jones created a fire ring that will be raffled off at Tech or Treat next week!
A HUGE thank you to Quentin Murphy from Murphy Photography and Film for being our guest speaker for the multimedia publishing seniors! He spent time with the students sharing tips on the tools of the trade, helping everyone get hands-on with our photography gear, and offering valuable feedback on student photos and projects.

We're excited to introduce our new automotive shop cars, Salt and Pepper! These modern vehicles will give our students hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing cutting-edge technology.
This addition is great for our program as it prepares students for successful careers in the automotive industry.

Callie Powell (SM), works with Pre-K students at Belmont Elementary during her internship for MOVTI's Grow Your Own Future Educator's program. GYO students are able to gain hands-on experience working with kids in a school setting. This level of experience helps prepare them for future careers in education. #WeloveCTE #MOVTI
MOVTI's EMT students participated in their first simulated emergency call today, responding to an unconscious person in a bathroom. They assessed the scene, communicated effectively, and practiced essential skills like airway management and CPR. It was a valuable learning experience that reinforced teamwork and preparedness. Looking forward to more training ahead. #EMTTraining
