Jacob White – Jacob is a Junior at Ritchie County High School.  He is a first year Pre-Engineering student at the MOVTI.  According to Mr. Bunch, Jacob’s Pre-Engineering Instructor, Jacob is an outstanding student who is always finding something new to learn.  He picks things up quickly and jumps right in to help others if they are struggling.  Jacob always goes above and beyond what is required.  Jacob plans to return to MOVTI during his Senior year and complete the Drafting program.  After graduation, he plans to attend college and pursue Civil Engineering.  Jacob wants to help design and build safe and reliable infrastructure like roads, bridges and buildings that support everyday life.Jacob White

Casey Burkhammer – Casey is a Senior at SMHS and a second year Diesel Equipment Technologies student at MOVTI.  In the past, Casey has also attended MOVTI for pre-engineering courses.  According to Mr. Mossor, Casey’s Diesel Instructor, he has great attendance, excellent work ethic and always does what is asked of him.  No matter what job you ask Casey to do, he always does it with a smile and you can trust that it will be done to the best of his ability.  After graduation, Casey plans to attend Marietta College and major in Petroleum Engineering.

Sophia Alexander – Sophia is a Senior at Magnolia High School.  She is a second year Law & Public Safety student and currently serves as the Sergeant, the highest-ranking official in our Simulated Workplace.  Mr. Clark, her instructor, states that Sophia displays exceptional initiative as a leader.  She does not wait for the instructor to solve problems; she identifies problems and has a plan to implement a solution before she brings the problem to the instructor.  Through her own initiative, she has arranged an internship with the New Martinsville Police Department and is planning to represent the MOVTI at the 2025 SkillsUSA Competition.  After high school, Sophia plans to continuing her education at Colorado State University in the Honors Program.  She plans to major in Psychology and plans to become a therapist or a neuropsychologist.

Isabella Anderson – Izzy is a Senior at Tyler Consolidated High School.  She is a second year MOVTI student, currently enrolled in Multimedia Publishing.  Last school year she completed the Graphic Design program at MOVTI.  Mrs. Leithead, Izzy’s Multimedia Instructor states that she has had an amazing year.  Her attendance and grades are great, but the effort she gives on all projects is appreciated.  Currently, Izzy is a finalist for the West Liberty University Art Scholarship.  She has had to put together a portfolio of work and complete and interview with several college professors!  After high school, Izzy plans to attend West Liberty University and is unsure of her major.

Ayden Trunk – Ayden is a Junior at St. Mary’s High School.  He is in his first year at the MOVTI and is completing the Carpentry Program.  Ayden’s instructor, Mr. Becker, states that Ayden is a problem solver.  He works well with other students and is effective by staying on task.  He uses his growing carpentry knowledge and is always respectful.  Ayden’s future plans include going into the construction industry.  He also notes that his experience in Carpentry will help him get there.

Curtis Foland – Curtis is a Junior at St. Mary’s High School.  Curtis is in his first year at the MOVTI in the Industrial Maintenance Program.  Mr. Collins, his instructor, states that Curtis consistently demonstrates strong work ethic, positive attitude and a commitment to excellence in classwork and shop performance.  In the shop, Curtis stands out as a dependable and safety-conscious student.  His technical skills continue to improve through hard work and attention to detail, and he regularly seeks feedback to make sure he is performing at his best.  In the future, Curtis is interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement or working in a maintenance department.

Sidni Gerlach – Sidni is a Junior at St. Mary’s High School.  She is in her first year at the MOVTI and is completing the Therapeutic Services Program.  Sidni’s instructor, Ms. Barnhart, states that she is very helpful to her classmates.  If someone has a question, whether skills or academic, she will help with a smile!  She uses class time effectively and preplans well for changes so she can stay on top of her work.  Sidni never needs redirected to be on task.  Sidni plans to go to college to earn her Registered Nurse license then immediately go to work in a hospital.

Adalyn Mayle – Adalyn is a Junior at St. Mary’s High School.  Adalyn is in her second year at the MOVTI.  She is already a completer in the Therapeutic Services Program and is currently enrolled in the Emergency Services Program.  Her plans include returning her Senior year for her third year in Health Sciences!  According to her instructor, Mr. Morehead, Adalyn has been an exemplary student this semester.  She is the AM Supervisor; she works well with all of the students and she is a team leader on simulated calls.  Her classwork and attendance is also great.  Adalyn future plans include attending WVUP to earn a degree in Nursing.
