nominee

The Mid-Ohio Valley Technical Institute (MOVTI) has been nominated as a 2024 Exemplary Practice School by the West Virginia Department of Education. MOVTI is one of eight career and technical education schools in the state to receive this nomination. This recognition was created by the WVDE to highlight outstanding school practices in one or more areas of the West Virginia Standards for Effective Schools.

The WVDE selected MOVTI based on comprehensive school accountability data, such as enrollment figures, student opportunities, and program-specific test scores. MOVTI's nomination underscores its dedication to the importance of innovation, collaboration, and student-centered approaches in achieving academic excellence.

"We are honored to receive this nomination from the West Virginia Department of Education," said Dr. Ryan Haught, Director of MOVTI. "It is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our staff, students, and community partners. At MOVTI, we're all about creating a supportive and educational environment that helps our students succeed in their future endeavors- whether it is entering the workforce or attending a post-secondary institution."
