This program is designed to introduce the students to a variety of health career pathways. Upon completion of this program, the students will have gained the necessary skills to secure a job as a certified nursing assistant, home health aide, and/or continue their healthcare education in a number of health careers.

Program Length:

One year (Recommended 2nd year to Therapeutic Services)

What You Will Learn:

Foundations: Basic medical terminology, growth and development, nutrition, health maintenance practice, and healthcare delivery systems.

Advanced: Patient privacy, ethical and legal procedures, mathematical computations, diseases, disorders.

Clinical: Participation in long term care facility clinical experience.

The program is designed to prepare students for certification and employment as a medical assistant, patient care technician, phlebotomy technician and/or EKG technician.

What You Can Earn:

•American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. • American Heart Association Heartsaver • First Aid Certification • Stop the Bleed Certification • OSHA - 10 Health-care Certification • Certified Nurses Aid
